IT & Data Manager - Digital Project Management

As Manager for Digital Project Management, you will lead a team responsible for delivering digital projects and programs across all lifecycle stages—from early-phase framing to execution and implementation. You will play a key role in shaping how Aker BP delivers value through our digital execution portfolio, ensuring structure, quality, and consistency.

This role is central to building strong digital project management capabilities, scalable practices, and a high-performing team culture.

 

This position sits within the leadership team for IT & Data Excellence.

 

Typical work tasks can be:

  • Lead and develop the Digital Project Management team, consisting of Digital Project/Program Managers, Business Analysts, Digital Change & Implementation Specialists, and Scrum Masters.
  • Drive strategic planning and continuous improvement of the function, including resource planning and capability development.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to ensure scalable access to project management resources, aligning capacity with delivery needs, and maintaining flexibility across the portfolio.
  • Safeguard execution quality through fit-for-purpose governance, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
  • Design and maintain a scalable digital project execution toolbox with reusable templates and adaptable processes.
  • Foster a #OneTeam culture that promotes collaboration, clarity of roles, and continuous learning.

 

Skills and qualifications: 

  • Leading digital projects/programs and applying scalable project execution practices to deliver with speed, quality, value, and cost-efficiency.
  • Value chain understanding of E&P.
  • Management experience with a proven track record of managing highly complex stakeholder landscapes and working in a matrix.
  • The successful applicant will be given the necessary training to succeed.
  • Fluent/good abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written.
