Controller - Drilling & Wells

Aker BP is looking for a new controller to join our finance community, which is leading the industry, and to play an important role in developing it.

 

As a Controller you will be closely connected to the drilling & wells activities performed by the assets. You will work closely with the drilling & well function, supporting and cooperating with budget executors. You will get a good strategic understanding of Aker BP Cost Management processes and approach as part of the Cost Management team within Business Finance. 

 

Typical work tasks can be:  

  • Ensure quality and accuracy of cost estimates and forecasts for D&W, including challenging the assets and their cost. 
  • Review cost and commitments incurred, prepare accruals, assure actuals, prepare variance analysis and forecasts within area of responsibility. 
  • Actively use relevant benchmarking data to drive cost and cost performance in D&W. 
  • You should, as part of the Cost Management team, strive to develop and challenge the way we perform cost management in practice – always looking for improvements in the way we work.  

 

Skills and qualifications:  

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree within Finance or similar  
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within Controlling/Accounting  
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • The successful applicant will be given the necessary training to succeed. 
  • Fluent/good abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
